The Tehran propaganda machine hardly lets a day go by without lambasting the US National Security Agency for spying on Americans. So our eyebrows lofted when Intelligence Minister Mahmud Alavi (photo) told the Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), “When [terrorists] want to deny taking actions on behest of foreigners, when their emails, conversations, texts, exchanges and chats are put in front of them, that’s when they realize nothing is hidden from the Intelligence Ministry and they have no choice but to confess.”
