or 10 or 12 countries that have done so. But Iran’s latest claim makes it the sole country in the world to claim mastery. Specifically, as he discussed Iran’s radar advancements, Gen. Mohammad-Hossain Shamkhali claimed Saturday that Iran has no problem detecting stealth aircraft. No other country, not even the United States, claims it can track stealth aircraft on its radar. But Shamkhali said, “We have no problem in detecting and locating radar-evading systems.” He didn’t explain how Iran did that. Stealth technology absorbs radar signals so they do not bounce back to the originating radar. Shamkhali did not say how Iranian radar reads a signal it isn’t receiving.
