Pakistani Petroleum Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi announced last week that the Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline will be completed in June 2018, another two years away. However, Abbasi also acknowledged that the financing for the pipe has not yet been nailed down, so It wasn’t clear how he could project any completion date. Iran and Pakistan signed the gas sales and pipeline deal in 1995.
