predicted that Washington would launch “at least” two wars in the Middle East by the end of October. October has come and gone, and Ahmadi-nejad’s prediction has failed to come true. But no media in Iran are calling him for that error.
On July 27, Ahmadi-nejad said in an interview with PressTV, the regime’s English-language television outlet, “We have precise information that the Americans have devised a plot. They plan to attack at least two countries in the region with the next three months,” which deadline ended October 26.
The president did not name any countries being targeted by the Americans.
He said the United States had two goals for the invasions. “First of all, they want to hamper Iran’s progress and development since they are opposed to our growth. Secondly, they want to save the Zionist regime because it has reached a dead-end and the Zionists believe they can be saved through a military confrontation.”
He did not say how he believed American attacks on other countries would hamper Iran.
At any rate, the president’s deadline has long since passed and his crystal ball has proven faulty.
