Several recent episodes of “Bethenny Ever After” angered the landlord in Malibu. He says the people behind the show invaded his beachfront house to tape the offending footage without his permission.
According to the lawsuit filed last week in LA County Superior Court, Bijan Shah-moradi says he leased the $13,000-a-month house to two people, who then illegally subleased the house to NBC Universal for the purpose of taping the show.
Bijan is now suing the tenants, for allegedly violating their lease agreement, as well as NBC, claiming it invaded his privacy by exposing the mansion’s interior to millions of people across the world.
Bijan wants $25,000 and is asking a judge to block any future airings of the episodes shot inside his house.
“Bethenny Ever After” was titled “Bethenny Getting Married?” in its first season. It is an American reality television program on the Bravo cable TV network. It is a spin-off of the Bravo “Real Housewives” series.
On June 10, 2010, the “Bethenny” program became Bravo’s highest rated series premiere in the network’s history. The second season along with its new title premiered February 28, 2011.
The first season follows Bethenny Frankel, a former cast member of “The Real Housewives of New York City” as she prepares to have a baby and get married.
The second season follows Bethenny as she is focusing more on her business and her baby as well as tensions with visiting family members from out of town.
