The West said that would not do, that it had to have Iran’s uranium first to enrich it. Iran then countered by saying it would be willing to compromise and hand over its uranium in three separate batches for three separate batches of 20 percent enriched uranium. The West shrugged that aside as non-responsive. Last week, the Islamic Republic announced it had a brand new offer to make to the West-it is willing to hand over all its 5 percent uranium in one batch in exchange for the Western 20 percent enriched uranium. No one in the West has been heard to even bother responding to that re-hash.
