The Islamic Republic delights in telling Europe it should be fighting terrorism in Europe because that’s where most of the foreign men fighting in Syria come from. Last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin (photo) said that nearly half of the 20,000 foreign fighters with the Islamic State come from the countries that were formerly part of the Soviet Union.
