Drought is not only a problem in Iran. A new analysis done at the University of Twente in the Netherlands says that more than two-thirds of the world’s population lives in areas with some water scarcity. About 500 million people live in places where the water consumption is double the amount replenished by rainfall, a problem in several parts of Iran.
