Zohreh Tabib-Zadeh-Nuri (photo), one of the nine women in the Majlis, says there are different definitions of violence against women in Iran and the West. She told the Majlis news agency that in Iran it is a legal requirement that a wife must get her husband’s permission to travel alone, while in the West such a requirement is ruled to be violence against women.
