Congress has completed its work and gone home without approving legislation to kill aircraft sales to Iran. At the end of the year, all bills not acted on automatically die. The same bills can be introduced in January, but would have to re-start the legislative process from square one. The House passed the bill to kill the airplane sale but the Senate took no action. The only anti-Iran measure to pass both houses in this two-year Congress was the renewal of the Iran Sanctions Act. About 50 other bills that Iranian officials like to complain about are all about to die because action to approve them was never completed. In fact, most never passed either chamber. They just gathered dust.
