“I say this with all the passion I can,” he started, saying, “The West has got to get out of this wretched posture of apology for believing we are causing what these Iranians are doing.… The fact is they are doing it because they disagree fundamentally with our way of life. And they’ll carry on doing it unless they are met by the requisite determination and, if necessary, force.” Blair said Iran had a real impact by supporting terrorism and impeding progress in the Middle East peace process, which Blair now deals with. He condemned Iran’s influence in the Middle East as “negative” and “destabilizing.”
