A Colorado-based group says it has found wood fragments on Takht-e Suleyman Mountain in West Azerbaijan province that might be the remains of Noah’s Ark. Many groups over the years have made claims of finding the remains of the Ark. This latest comes from the Bible Archaeology, Search & Exploration (BASE) Institute in Monument, Colorado. They said they found the wood fragments at the 15,000-foot elevation of the mountain, suggesting a mighty flood indeed. It also found microscopic sea life in a rock sample that would normally be found at the bottom of the ocean. BASE does not claim the fragments are definitely the Ark, saying, “In our opinion, it’s a candidate. The research continues.”
