Four-and-a-half-year-old Gabriella Ratcliffe is seen dressed up in a beret knitted by her jailed mother, Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe, a scarf made by one of her mom’s cellmates, human rights lawyer Nargess Moham-madi, and a coat sent to her from London by her father, whom Gabriella has not seen in almost three years. The photo was taken at her grand-parents’ Tehran home by a visiting reporter from The Times of London. She told the reporter to carry a message back to her father. “Tell him I love him and I hope he loves me.” Gabriella is allowed to visit her mother twice a week at Evin Prison. She has lost the ability to speak English.
