Dr. Saied Yousefi is currently studying a the University of Waterloo in Ontario. He received the award along with his co-authors from the university, Drs. Keith Hipel and Tarek Hegazy.
The paper, published in ASCE’s Journal of Management in Engineering, bears the jaw-breaking title: “Attitude-based Negotiation Methodology for the Management of Construction Disputes.”
Yousefi received his BS in civil engineering from Sharif University of Technology and his masters and doctorate from the University of Waterloo. In between his bachelor’s and master’s, he worked seven years on the Karun-3 hydroelectric dam project in Khuzestan province.
ASCE, founded in 1852, publishes 33 journals with more than 7,000 articles annually. Yousefi is the second Iranian to win the best paper award.
