Tehran has installed solar panels floating on the wastewater ponds in south Tehran, which has the effect of not only generating more power but also blocking the evaporation of much-needed water. The National Water and Wastewater Engineering company says the placement of the 1,200 panels saves 374,000 liters of water from evaporating each year.
