Carlos Queiroz (photo) was dropped as coach of the Egyptian national soccer team after he failed to qualify it for this year’s World Cup. The team lost its final match to Cameroon on penalty shots. Since leaving Iran in January 2019 after winning 60 of 100 matches and taking Iran to two consecutive World Cup finals, he has spent 10 months with Columbia before being fired and now just seven months with Egypt.
