Ten Iranian scientists have been named to Thomson Reuters’ list of The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds for 2014.
The list includes more than 3,200 scientists from around the world, so 10 from Iran comes to less than 1/3rd of 1 percent.
The listing contains those scientists who have published the highest number of articles that are cited most frequently by other researchers.
In the field of engineering, those listed are: Mehdi Dehqan of Amirkabir University of Technology, Farnoush Faridbod, Mohammad Reza Ganjali, Siavash Riahi, and Parviz Norouzi, all from the University of Tehran, Davood Domiri Ganji of Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Mehrorang Qaedi of the University of Yasuj, and Hassan Ali Zamani of the Islamic Azad University.
In the field of mathematics, those listed are: Saeid Abbasbandy of the Imam Khomeini International University and Majid Es’haqi Gorji of the Research Group of Nonlinear Analysis and Applications of Semnan University.
