Tehran’s 7,000-year-old female resident (photo), found in 2014 buried near the Bazaar, suffered from a pinworm infection, according to the Parasitology Department of the Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
It said the pinworm is the most common type of intestinal worm in the world even today. So the 7,000-year-old lady was most up-to-date.
