Two workmen died when their welding work on this oil tank in Khorramabad in Lorestan province set off a fire. It took firefighters a half hour Saturday to get the fire under control, but it did not spread beyond this single tank. The authorities said the tank was empty, but didn’t address whether the oil residue in such a tank had been washed out before the workmen were sent to do their work. The tank is not far from the huge Khorramabad Petrochemical Complex.
