Woman Wins at Chess Iran Times 3 months ago February 21, 2025For the first time, a woman has been elected to head Iran’s chess federation. She is Shadi Paridar (photo), 38, who has won the Iranian Women’s Chess Championship four times. She received 51 of the 58 ballots cast by federation officials.
