The Tehran soccer club Persepolis has topped the league for the fifth year in a row. Of its 30 matches, Persepolis won 19, drew 10 and lost only a solitary game. But it only barely bested Sepahan to win the league championship. Sepahan won 19, tied eight and lost three games. No one else came close to either of those two.
