The Islamic Republic would prefer to have Russia build its future nuclear power plants “because we have more trust in it,” said Ali-Asghar Soltanieh, Iran’s ambassador to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). That seemed an odd remark given that Russia was to complete the Bushehr plant in four years and has now been at it 16 years without finishing yet. Of course, one has to consider that Soltanieh was making the remark at a news conference in Moscow.
