He said that 124 foreign news gathering organizations from 28 different countries have 254 staffers working in Iran. But the German television network ZDF has responded that it has never been granted a request to interview any Iranian official. It says the Culture Ministry has given it permission to visit cities beyond Tehran, but once ZDF staffers get there, local officials say they must have local permission before they can do anything.
