Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu made an official visit to Azerbaijan last Tuesday—a visit that—infuriated officials of the Islamic Republic, which just might be one reason the governments of Azerbaijan and Israel scheduled the visit. Netanyahu was on his way to Kazakhstan and just stopped off seven hours in Baku—just—long enough to get all the conspiratorial juices flowing in Tehran. Israel is a major buyer of Azerbaijani oil and a major supplier of weapons to the Azerbaijani armed forces.
