Early in August, many news outlets around the world reported Israel said it was getting ready to attack Iran soon. Actually, that’s not quite what Israel said. A reporter asked Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz (photo) if Israel was able to take action against Iran if it decided to do so. Quite naturally, he said, “Yes.” But he didn’t say that Israel had decided to do so.
