Brigitte Boisselier announced Azizmoradi’s asylum victory, saying that as a Raelian and therefore an atheist, Aziz-moradi “was forced to flee Iran when her family received word that she was about to be arrested and thrown into prison.”
Boisselier said Azizmoradi escaped across the Turkish border but was arrested there because she couldn’t produce proper papers. She was jailed in Turkey. After two years, Boisselier said, Turkey freed her and she arrived in the United States earlier this month.
Raelism was found in 1974. It is strongly identified with UFOs as it teaches that life on earth was created scientifically by a species of extraterrestrials. It is headquartered in Switzerland.
