Tehran City Councilman Mohsen Pirhadi says the Principleist majority faction in the council has decided to keep Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf (photo) as mayor. Qalibaf was chosen eight years ago after then-Mayor Mahmud Ahmadi-nejad became president. Qalibaf ran for president this year and came in second.
