An Iranian couple who translated for a French couple arrested in May for allegedly promoting dissidence among Iranian teachers have themselves been arrested. The mother of Anisha Asadollahi said the woman and her husband, Keyvan Mohtadi, were jailed May 9 for aiding Cecile Kohler and Jacques Paris, French teachers who were visiting Iran over the Easter school break. Kohler, an officer of the French teachers’ union, and her partner met with leaders of Iran’s teachers’ union and stand accused of trying to stir up labor protests.
