A new report issued by the government of British Columbia says the largest proportion of refugees in the province who are on welfare are Iranians, who comprise 24 percent of those refugees, with Iraqis in second place at 18 percent and Somalis next at 12 percent. Vancouver, the largest city in British Columbia, has a large Iranian population with by far the largest criminal element of any Iranian community in North America, mostly related to gang activity and drug trafficking—and quite violent.
