Evo Morales (photo), the president of Bolivia, noted the improving ties between the United States on one hand and Cuba and Iran on the other and said he wishes to accelerate efforts to improve Bolivia’s ties with Washington. He said he didn’t wish to see Bolivia “left out of an important political development.” He told reporters he thinks it’s time for the US and Bolivia to exchange ambassadors again. Morales expelled the US ambassador in 2008 and joined Venezuela and Cuba in a political rage against American imperialism.
