SLUMP — The price of an OPEC barrel continued downward this past week. The last point on the chart above is $102.59 on Monday. That was the lowest daily price since April 2 and 3, when the price was, very briefly, under $102. The monthly average (below) is also slumping—but that doesn’t mean anything since the August average, the last point below, includes only two trading days.
