The Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq has published an open letter to the Iraqi people that takes conspiracy theory to a new height. “Iraq is held captive by two foreign powers—America and Iran. Iran is an ally and partner of the United States in everything that has happened to Iraq from 2003 [the US invasion] until today in terms of destruction, ruin, chaos and instability.”
