Tehran’s traffic is among global worst

There is another list out, and another bad ranking for Tehran—this one showing the capital to have some of the worst traffic conditions in the world.
Tehran ranks seventh from the bottom of a table rating traffic conditions in 94 cities.
The tabulation was done by a Serbian research firm, Numbeo, which said its rankings were based on overall commuting time, public dissatisfaction, traffic inefficiencies and carbon dioxide emissions.
The worst city in the world for driving was calculated to be Mumbai, according to Numbeo. In fact, three of the worst five cities were in India.
Of the best 10 cities for driving, eight were in Europe. The others were Canberra, Australia (6th) and Yerevan, Armenia (7th). The top cities were Zurich (1st), Porto, Portugal (2nd) and Ljubljana, Slovenia (3rd).
Here are the worst 10, starting with last place Mumbai:
Mumbai, India
Nairobi, Kenya
Pune, India
Cairo, Egypt
Kolkata, India
Miami, Florida, USA
Tehran
Recife, Brazil
Pretoria, South Africa
Denver, Colorado, USA
The best cities in North America might surprise some. They were Chicago (17th), Portland, Oregon (18th) and New York City (31st). Los Angeles was 26th from the bottom.
