Two newspapers in Tehran have reported that Tataloo, 37, a popular singer best-known for his full-body tattoos, has been sentenced to death after he was convicted of “insulting the prophet.” The news received extensive coverage in Western media. But the Judiciary soon denied that there had been any sentence yet issued by his trial court.
