Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossain Esmaili says Iranian courts handling suits by Iranians against the United States have already sentenced the US government to pay $1 billion to the people winning those suits. The first suit was filed by the families of those killed in 2018 by gunmen who terrorized a military parade in Chabahar, killing 25 people. The attack has usually been attributed to Baluchi insurgents.
