Basketball star Hamed Hamadi (photo) is still playing in the Chinese professional league, but has now moved to the Muslim part of the country where he is playing with the Flying Tigers in Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang, the province where the Muslim Uighur people prevail. Hamadi is the team captain and starting center. The team finished in sixth place last year among the league’s 20 teams. Had-dadi has played in China five of the last six seasons.
