The rate of inflation stayed in single digits in the first month of the new Persian year, according to both measures used by the Central Bank of Iran. For the month of Farvardin, inflation was recorded at 9.2 percent as a 12-month average and at 7.9 percent when compared to Farvardin of the previous year. The International Monetary Fund expects inflation to go slightly into double digits during this year, but so far it is holding to single digits.
