Soccer coach confident about game with Bahrain

Iran will play Bahrain—but be without two of its European-based players: Ashkan Dejagah of Wolfsburg in Germany and Masud Shojai of Osasuna in Spain.
Queiroz invited 22 players to play Bahrain and a warmup friendly against Palestine this Wednesday after the Iran Times went to press. The biggest names are the trio of Ali Karimi, Javad Nekounam and Andranik Teymourian.
In Group E, Iran and Bahrain each have one win and one draw and four points—but Iran leads on goal differential by one. Qatar is in third place with two draws and two points. Indonesia trails with two losses and no points.
All four teams play Tuesday, October 11. Iran hosts Bahrain and Indonesia hosts Qatar.
With the matches Tuesday, this elimination round will be half over as each of the four teams plays the others twice, in home and away matches.
