Tulsi Gabbard, President Trump’s pick to oversee the US intelligence agencies, has modified her views on Iran. Back when she was a congresswoman from Hawaii in Trump’s first term in 2020 she said there was “no justification” for the United States assassination of Qods Force commander Maj. Gen. Qasem Soleymani. In her January confirmation hearing, however, she said Trump’s approach to Iran proved “very effective for our own national security.”
