Royal Dutch Shell last week resumed the purchase of Iranian crude, becoming just the second major oil company to re-start purchases from Iran. Shell is due to load its first tanker at Kharg Island July 8. Total of France was the first oil major to resume buying Iranian crude. Some refineries in Spain, Greece and Italy have also ordered crude directly from Iran.
