On the 19th anniversary of the death of poet Ahmad Shamloo (photo), dozens of his fans rallied at his gravesite in Karaj. But the gathering was broken up by security officers, as it has been each year. Several weeks ago, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenehi was photographed smiling as he read from a collection of Shamloo’s works at the Tehran Book Fair.
