Former Central Bank Governor Valiollah Seif (photo), who was fired by President Rohani in July when the rial began its latest slide, has been barred by the Judiciary from leaving the country. He is under investigation for unspecified crimes, as are other Central Bank officials, Judiciary spokesman Gholam-Hossain Mohseni-Ejai announced.
