The Islamic Republic has said repeatedly that it will never allow the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to visit any military site in Iran, even though the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) says IAEA inspectors may go wherever they deem it necessary. Now Mark Fitzpatrick of the London-based International Institute of Strategic Studies (IISS) says the Islamic Republic is just mouthing nonsense. He says IAEA inspectors have visited military sites in Iran more than 20 times. The IAEA has been silent, which might be taken as a confirmation of Fitzpatrick’s report.
