French President Nicolas Sarkozy telephoned Clotilde Reiss (photo) at the French Embassy in Tehran Christmas Eve. She was arrested July 1 and accused of fomenting the post-election disorders. She was allowed to leave prison and has been confined to the embassy since August while her trial continues. A session last Wednesday was not the end of her trial.
