The Iran Taekwondo Federation has suspended Hadi Saei (photo), holder of two Olympic gold medals and one bronze, for one year and fined him $400 after an altercation with a federation official. Saei, 44, holds more Olympic medals than any other Iranian. He is retired from competition but was technical manager of two teams before his suspension. Saei won election for two terms to the Tehran City Council but lost his seat in the 2017 elections.
