The old plane that used to carry chancellors all around the world has just been sold—to Iran’s Mahan Airlines. Coming at a time when Germany is calling for more sanctions on Iran, this does not look good. However, Germany didn’t sell the play to Mahan. It sold it to a broker who solid it to Iran. Embarrassing question for Mahan: Why is it buying a VIP plane with private sleeping quarters, a shower and big, cushy leather chairs? The plane is a customized Airbus 310.
