One hundred days into the water year in early January, the Energy Ministry says rainfall nationally is 44 percent below the long-term national average and 67 percent below the Tehran region normal. Water levels in all five dam reservoirs that supply Iran are very low and the province has called on all households to cut their consumption by one-tenth.
