A few months ago, Supreme Leader Ali Khamenehi intervened to spike Ahmadi-nejad’s latest ploy and support Rafsanjani. Last week, Rafsanjani won election to the Board of Trustees along with Hassan Khomeini, grandson of Ayatollah Khomeini and an ally of Rafsanjani.
