President Obama has signed into law legislation that wil dramatically change the way that Radio Farda and all the other US radio and television stations are managed. Until now, they have been run by a part-time Board of Governors made up of people from the US broadcasting industry who met a few times a year. That board will now be abolished and a single full-time CEO will head Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, which encompasses Radio Farda and numerous other broadcasting outlets.
