“Just take a look at the enemy and the stage they are at. They have reached a dead end and have been defeated in every aspect—economically, politically, militarily and culturally,” Ahmadi-nejad said.
“Nearly nine years ago [after the September 11, 2001, attacks], they came to the region with the slogan of occupying the Middle East and said that they would erase the name of the Iranian nation and its culture from the face of the earth once and for all. But look at what has happened after nine years. They are faced with deadlock and humiliation everywhere and are plummeting toward their own destruction.
“You can see how they are treating their own people. Millions of their people come into the streets to protest wrong policies. They voice their protest—but the protests fall on deaf ears. They are suppressing their own people. They don’t have any dignity left in the world. They take opinion polls in the world and they have acknowledged that the most hated people and governments are those that have been fighting against the Iranian people for the past 32 years.”
Turning to Iran, Ahmadi-nejad said, “On the other hand, today the name, path and flag of the Iranian nation are popular and shine all over the world.
“My dears, this is the materialization of God’s promise. Whoever treads God’s path is victorious every time. The principle of victory means to do everything for God. The Iranian nation has been treading the victorious path for the past 32 years. And, God willing, the final victory is close and the Iranian nation will see that great day.
“I would like give the enemies of mankind and the Iranian people some advice on your behalf. I want to tell them: For the past 32 years, you have used all your capabilities to hatch plots against the Iranian nation.… You used your military, propaganda, political and media power and wanted to wipe Iran off the map. But the Iranian people flourished then, flourish today and will continue to flourish.
“You wanted to grind down the Iranian nation’s dignity, but it became more loved day-by-day. You wanted to take Iran apart, but you weren’t able to take even a millimeter of Iranian soil. You wanted to block the Iranian nation’s progress. But you were defeated. You wanted to stop the Iranian nation from going nuclear. But you were defeated again.”
